While capturing video the audio is missing

A little conserned about the magix video deluxe 2008 e-version

While i try to capture video from a DV device plugged, the audio is not recorded on the video or at least i dont listen to it while playing it.

Whenever i record in naration, the audio is recorded perfectly but ... not while im capturing video :S

Why is that?

Is that a regular miniDV camera (cassette tape)? How exactly are you connecting it to the computer?

There may be 2 audio inputs, line and microphone. Use the line input on the sound card. You may have to go to the sounds settings in Control Panel and try changing the settings and make sure the input is not muted.
