Hi Lenny,

If I were looking at cleaning up 78 rpm or even 45 rpm vinyl disc music, I would be focusing on the following filters:

Declicker/DeCrackler because you will likely be getting a lot of "pops and clicks" due to dirt in the grooves of the old vinyl unless they have been cleaned and stored in pristine condition.

Dehisser because in the old days, even when they started using tape instead of direct to a vinyl master, all of the equipment was subject to "hiss" problems.

I would look at using a 50 hz or 60 hz notch filter to remove hum depending on if it was recorded in a 50 or 60 hz environment.

And finally the "Denoiser" to get rid of the "rumble" that sometimes is evident in vinyl recordings.
