Where has this thread gone?

I'm darned if I can find a recent thread anymore! It was started by Jose and included several detailed and time-consuming posts by me. There was also at least one post from Carl. The latest of mine was some hours ago and included two annotated screenshots explaining how to display PDF tutorials etc. Can't remember its original title.

Anyone recall seeing it to confirm I'm not dreaming? How could it have vanished? Could it have been accidentally deleted?

Hi Terry

Have you looked in your My Overview, My Answers to see if they are there? If so click on one of them and you should be taken to the question - assuming it has not been deleted by the OP.

Yes, that's my usual method. Then I went through the last 20 or so. No sign of it.

I think if the user deletes the original post, it is basically gone. I cannot find anything by a user with the name Jose for the last 100 posts.

Thanks for looking anyway George. I had a PM from 'jose_fortuna', signed Jose, asking for further help and I said I'd reply in Q&A so others could contribute and learn.

I hadn't realised an OP could (deliberately or accidentally) delete an entire thread. I tend to have other users in mind too when taking significant time to prepare 'tutorial' style answers, as I'm sure you do, so it's disappointing to see that vanish into electronic limbo.

Strange because, having seen his picture, I can remember reading the topic and seeing yours and Carls posts.

So it looks to me as if he was floundering a bit and may have accidentally deleted the thread in question. I think that was his first post so that would presumably explain why his profile now shows zero. I've had no reply to subsequent PMs.
