Hi Everyone

Where can I buy audio licence so I can use all the soundpools on my videos.

I have old soundpools, early version of Music Maker and now MM 17.I want to use them in videos I create for information video (non commercial) and also commerical one.I've read/heard that you need a licence so you can use them in this way.

Would like to know what are the facts as I don't want to break copyright laws.

You need the Audio Pro Unlimited licenses.

Hi Procyon

Thanks for that info. I have been waiting for info from Catooh. About it and glad to say I got the answer from them an hour ago. They say I only need a licence for MM 17. So what I've done is buy MM 16 an I'm ok.

Here is a snippet of the answer from them:-

Thank you for your message.

For the old versions (starting in generation 2005 and up until and including generation 16), you can just use the included soundpool content for commercial and non-commercial purposes without any further restrictions. Starting in version 17 of the MAGIX Soundpool DVD collections and audio content bundled with the Music Maker product line, the use of the provided audio content is limited to private and non-commcerical use. The public presentation of the songs is still possible as long as it's non-commercial (e.g. YouTube without using any monetisation on your channel). However, for commercial productions you will need to obtain a suitable license for the content in question via Catooh (www.catooh.com). Commercial licenses are available for the entire soundpool disc (or Music Maker content collection), individual soundpools (i.e. one single style/volume) and soundpacks (smaller parts of a soundpool) on Catooh, giving you different options to meet your individual requirements.

So, as a more specific example, for your Music Maker 17, you would need to purchase the "Audio Pro Unlimited WAV" license of the following Catooh item to clear the samples for commercial use:

So I'm a very happy guy :-)

You mean you only need the license for MMM-17 and later versions.

I found on the back it says ideal for any music program. Then license-free, royalty-free use.

So it looks like I've answered my own question!

Wow they are quick with answer:-

"Thank you for your message.

The "Best of Soundpool" collection is a few years older and falls under the same regulation as the content up until generation 16. So, this means if you just buy the disc version, you won't need to pay for any additional commercial add-on license. The disc already covers commercial use.

I hope this information helps."

So that it great .

Hope that helps people
