I have an audio track in Movie Edit Pro Premium version 20.0.1.73 in the time line mode. For videos I have handles to control fade in and fade out. For audio I don't have them. Why? I want my handles back to fade in the audio.
How far up any fade grab handle is, video or audio, depends on the level of transparency / volume, that is set in the individual 'object'. So in theory if the recording had a low volume it could be placed at the top in a corner of an audio object. If you need an audio track to fade at a different length to its corresponding video track then the tracks can be uncoupled using the broken chain icon in the tool section.
Note that you can shorten/length an object by using the bottom left and right handles or the double-arrow in the middle ends of an object. They do not do the same thing. The bottom L and R handles will shorten the object or lengthen it if it has been previously trimmed. The middle handles will affect the objects on each side if one (depends on which way) or both have been previously trimmed. Shortening one will trim it but increase or untrim the other if the material is available from a previous trim, up to the true end of that object.
