This option is just for DV cameras with cassette tapes - if this is the kind of camera you have, then make sure to have it hooked up via Firewire cable.  If your camera saves to hard drive or mini-DVD instead, you don't need to use the program to capture anything - rather, save the video files to the hard drive of your computer, then import the files into Movie Edit Pro from the media pool in the edit area.

Ok, I see. I guess I was just trying to figure out what kind of hook up you have (USB?). But you are able to capture the videos to your hard drive using another software - the one that came with the camera perhaps? If that's the case, then that's your work around solution. If you have the option, I guess capture as DV AVI for the best quality. Once saved to your hard drive, you can import into Movie Edit Pro.
