When I start sound it keeps asking to register

I have sound forge 10.0. It is registered. I can go to the website and see that. When I click on icon to start a registration comes up. WHen I click on next a dialog fom windows 10 comes up asking if I want to allow program to change computer I click yes. The dialog goes away and now elses happens. So I can't start sound forge. I have reinstalled it twice and that doesn't help

This is a common Sound Forge 10 occurrence after ‘some’ Windows 10 updates on 'some' PCs. Two ways to fix, one is easy, the other not so easy, pros and cons to both. Most other SF versions (before and after SF-10) do not have this issue.

Now the program tries to start but now as the program is initializing, after a time I get a blue screen and it says your device and needs to restart. After a few seconds it restarts
