When i import the analog video from the Hi8 to the computer i have sound losses! please Help

When i start the import from the Hi8 camera the sound is smooth as it records.  The video is a bit jerky but, after the import is ended when i playback the video to my compter both the image is jerky and the sound has gaps.

I chanched the fps from 25 to 29.97 and the image became smoother but the sound is still having gaps.

I am importing from an analog camera

The tapes are Hi8

I am using the Magix Video easy RYVT edition

 

I beleive that when the analog signal turns to digital some frames are lost and the result is these gaps in the video and the sound. The gaps are not big 0.5-1 seconds each but they are too many to be ignored.

I am not sure how you have done it, however your response has appeared in a different members old topic here

I also posted a response to the above question, which has disappeared, asking for your computer specification and what video settings you are using for the capture.
