For me, mostly CD authoring, but i burn very few CDs these days. Otherwise It is easier to move an event segments around the timeline than copy/paste. X-fades are easy as well.

Is there an option to have two events automatically make room for an event inserted between them? e.g. say you have events A B and C in a timeline, and you want to move C between A and B. Is there a way to do that without manually making sufficient room between A and B first?

Auto option? Not that I'm aware of, but I don't use the events option much. From my experience, it works very similar to Vegas (and CD Arc), you can use the 'S' key to divide an existing file, make two (or more) events and move, copy/paste, ect. I do not see a 'Ripple' process though, which would be automatic.. You can highlight the desired events and move them around as a group though.

Actually, there is a ripple option under Options->Event->Auto Ripple but that's a different feature. I'm only asking because I have a faint memory of a video where someone was moving events around willy nilly and all the surrounding events were separating to make room. Probably a false memory.

Thanks @James-Lo the Event mode does have the ripple option. I just did not see it. Good to know and thanks again.
