What other hardwareis needed to work with the Rescue Vinyl program? What type of record player is required?

I am interested in purchasing the Rescue Your Vinyl program but I don' t know if I have all the proper hardware to work with this program.   Such as how does the USB preamp hook up to the record player?   All I have is regular speaker wire coming from the back of the record player directly to the speaker boxes.   They are not RCA jack compatible.   I don't want to spend a lot of money buying another piece of equipment just to be able to connect all the wires to make this Rescue program work.

Wouldn't it have been wiser to do some research and ask these questions BEFORE you bought the program?

Sorry, but you'll need to do a better job explaining the situation, or at least provide some decent photo's.  You'll never have wires coming directly from the "record player" to the speakers.  If you have some sort of "all-in-one" unit, the speakers will be connected to an integral amplifier.  The Rescue Your Vinyl scenario assumes you have a component system with a stand-alone turntable that has an RCA cord and a ground wire.

If your system has a "Tape Out", you can connect that directly to the Line-IN on your computer with a stereo adapter cable (or a regular stereo RCA cable and an adapter).  In this case you won't need to use the phono pre-amp.
