i finally get it to install properly and then i go to use certain soundpools like ones that already came installed and it says they are missing.the rock alternative and techno.then i go to movie score and try to put bassdrum a and b into the music maker and it says its copyrighted or some bs...like seriously???

Are you using Music Maker 17? you did not mention the version.
It is correct some times this program behave strangely. Also some time it will give error when you will use soundpool or could freeze, some thime shows, file is deleted or move.
After facing all these problems I have made many tutorials in pdf and video.
If you go to Tutorial next to show and discuss you can find by me (nihon94).
But that copyrighted thing is first time. That is strange. I just checked my version which is MMM 16 Premium and in Movie score/Drums there is Bassdrum a,b and c I did not face any problem.
If you give some more information such as Music Maker version, windows operating system.
May be help you.
In my experience windows 7 MMM 17 are problematic.

Additional info,
me too use windows vista MMM 16 Premium. I have faced other problem but not this copyrighted thing. If there is any possibility better reinstall and see. When you use magix do not run other software.
You should also contact magix support and explain your problem.
