I tried to install Magix Music Maker on a Windows 8.1 laptop, it didn't work. I tried re-installing it and it was worse. Finally, I decided to install it on my Windows 7 laptop. It installed perfectly on my Windows 7 laptop until I tried to activate it. It took me a while to figure out how to request a new activation code. It asks me for a ComuterID. how do I find a Computer IG?

Hello JP:

The computer ID is based on various components in your computer hardware and can not be changed by the user. It CAN NOT be found in your system settings.  Therefore, each every computer system has its own unique ID.

Take a look at this article: http://www.ehow.com/how_5795241_computer_s-machine-id.html.

Hope this helps ya out.

As far as I know computer ID usually means hard drive number of the computer in use. It is also called finger print of computer. Most software use it to register a product. In case of computer change a new code is required. You can find it by going to Control panel/Device manager/click on Disk drive (+ plus sign) here you will see the number.

Or as one user has talked about Ip, there are two kinds of Ip one is static one is dynamic. We often use Dynamic Ip whenever we start computer it changed while Static ip is fixed and do not change. Usually website use it.

For details you can read below:

Did you also contacted Magix support for your problem?

Hope above information will be helpful.
