what is a pcm file? and why does it say it not one?

same question, if the file is from wmv or a previous magix video file it always does that to me and scews up and then when i delete the imported video then reimport it it usually works ?

also alot of the time the audio takes up 3 tracks and is constantly ticking loudly?

PCM means Pulse Code Modulation and is a way of encoding audio. You must be trying to import an audio file which has some other form of codec used to digitally encode.

Use GSpot to analyse the audio file and the blue buttons bottom left of the GSpot window under MS A/V to see if your computer can render the audio.

What is the source of the audio?

If so I found that MEP 17 use to baulk at trying to import sound the first time round where it had been split into individual stereo channels. As you found it usually works the second time however I never got the ticking.
