I am beyond frustrated, and hoping someone can help me. I have Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus. My computer is an HP quadcore, and I know it is sufficient, because I have burned numerous blu ray discs in the past with this same computer and Magix program.
My current problem....I just spent 7-8 hours working on my home movie from my anniversary cruise. After doing all my edits, and burn menus, I saved the project to finish in the morning, as there were a few finishing touches I wanted to put on.
When I come back in to load my project, I click on "Load Existing Project" in the "Record" menu. When I click on the project I want to load, the "Record", "Import File", and "CD/DVD Copy" options immediately disappear (turn gray), and the only one left is the "Video Recorder" option.
Then, when I click on the "Edit" menu, I have the viewing monitor on the left, and my media pool on the right, but NO ARRANGER, timeline, or anywhere on the bottom half of the page to view or add videos. Nothing....gone. The same in the "Burn" menu....no project, no nothing.
Now, when I am on the original "Record" screen, I can instead click on "Create New Project" instead of "Load Existing Project", and everything works normally. If I click on "Create New Project", then the arranger appears normally on the "Edit" screen, etc.
Someone please tell me that my long, hard work is not gone, and that I can restore my project somehow, with all my edits and modifications intact. Otherwise, I have to start over, and perhaps go through the same thing all over again. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.
If needed, I can send pictures of my screen, and what the program is doing. Is anyone familiar with this problem, and how to fix it?
