what software or hardware are included with the music-maker ''Plus" ; is it a monthly or a one-time purchase

There is no hardware. The program is always the same. If you get the plus edition you get to download the additional features in the comparison list. Considering the current limited difference in price between plus and premium editions it make more sense to purchase premium unless you're buying plus at a discount elsewhere.
