What does, "make sure the disk is not full or write-protected" mean?

I'm trying to transfer my video into this program and it's saying, "make sure the disk is not full or write-protected".

Check how much room there is left on your hard drive. You may not have enough room.

Hi,

You try to write on hard disk or USB drive that means either the device is locked and it is impossible to write on or the device has not enough space or room to write the full file content. Also probably you have selected a complete directory and is too big to write on the device selected.
