What do I need to do to get a fade in title at the beginning of my highlight video?

I just purchassed movie edit pro mx plus and I'm trying to create a highlight video. How do I get a title to fade in on a black screen at the beginning? I kept playing around with it, I went through the steps and I can see it, however when I click play, nothing..

I also edited an entire game film, but after tinkering with a lot of different functions, trying to get the title page fixed; my clips reverted back to the very first play of the game. The pay was not even moving, just froze.

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Hi.

To have a title object fade in, simply create the title (in the timline it defaults to being placed on Track 3), make sure you are zoomed in enough to be able to see the whole object box clearly then either pull the arrow-shape at the top left corner of the box to the right (the further you pull it the longer the fade-in will be) or, with the cursor at the beginning of the box (on the A|B icon) select "Fade-In".  In this case you may need to "edit" the length of the fade-in; I think it defaults to 1 second.

No idea about your second question, except it would appear you were not saving your edtied work as you went along.

HTH.
