Hi,

Why Magix have very adamant in this policy Sam only on WIN, we are Samplitude user. Magix have to think about the Pro users Perspective point, we want Samplitude on Mac OS. its our right and freedom. Magix is simply saying Protools, Logic are too established on Mac, They don't have business on Mac Platform. What kind of excuse is saying Magix , I think this is a useless answer and unprofessional. I think you doesn't have any proper business and Intellectual team regarding this. Seriously you guys have to think about your Future.

what about StudioOne, Harrison Mix+, Cake walk. Many guys is working StudioOne on Mac OS. Its not a big deal working on Mac, Win Or Linx . But we want Samplitude Mac Version.New DAWs are releasing on Mac ,Win some in linux etc, Now a day even the small and big Softwares are releasing on multi platform . why you guys are not thinking in that manner.

I have waited Many year for this Special moment, Am so disappoint ,

I think Magix have capable of this to show the world , otherwise I have to think Magix don't have.

Regards

Smith

I doubt there will ever be a Samplitude for MAC. The DAW industry is extremely tight-margined, so it would take massive sales and market-share for Magix to be enticed into porting Samp over to a mac version. Sound Forge and Spectralayers already have mac version codebases, so they will probably continue on as stand-alone lines. Perhaps there will be a Vegas for Mac , but it's again contingent on sales and market share

Also, depending on how the code is written, it may be extremely time consuming porting a piece of software from one OS to another. This may involve replacing all the UI drawing, input handling, all the audio driver stuff, MIDI communication and what not.

Fun fact though: Samplitude was already ported once: It started on the Amiga platform. And I'm sure it took a lot of work porting it to Windows. ;)

I'm 99.99% sure that if Magix ports any new line to Mac it will be Vegas.
