I cannot get sound out of my speakers using ASIO4ALL driver

Using Windows 10 Pro with Realtek HD audio (Wibtek AIO 23" system) 16GB ram
Having loaded the keyboard that comes with Independence, key strokes will not depress the notes. The larger virtual keyboard will work without Independence - but not through Independence
ASIO4ALL defaults to same input (for recording) and output when choosing device. as does Magix Low Latency 2016.

WDM will allow for a difference..
Is ASIO4ALL a requirement to use?
The context help is not very helpful in getting through these setup issues..
