Do you mean multi-channel VSTinstruments?

They are usually 16 MIDI-channels (inputs) where you can define the instruments but only route one output and that's the VSTi itself.

no you can route a multiple audio output to seperate audio input tracks, I just figured it out, but how do I render them to audio tracks? one track at a time? geez I mix in a different daw
