I have a problem. I bought VST ANALOG SYNTH 2 a few days ago. On the second day I uninstalled the MMM program and installed it again, but ANALOG is not active anymore. How can I activate it?
You need still update to the latest version, then under the Store, go to each of tabs - presets, features, instruments, and download and install everything that is there.
I don't know FL Studio except for a quick look. You would have to decide by looking at the features of each, and compare them to what you want and need.
MMM is not a full DAW. FL Studio looks closer to a full DAW, but you will pay a lot.
Samplitude Music Studio is pretty much a full DAW, and Samplitude Pro X3 is a full DAW. Prices vary depending on sales. Early this year, Samplitude Pro X3 suite could be had for about 150$US, and depending on where you look, it may be about 200$. If it came to a choice between FL Studio and Samplitude, there is no contest. Samplitude wins. But like I said, it depends on what you want to do and also on your skill level.
I particularly like MMM because it integrates nicely with other Magix programs, like Movie Edit Pro (Plus or Premium) and I have hundreds of Magix Soundpools (thousands of loops) and the full complement of instruments, including the full Independence. And it's easy to use. Etc.
Thank you for reply. I would have a few things to do. Please answer them:
1. Often when working on a project, the program automatically turns off and it happens that it is impossible to re-load the project on which it was working. Then the information appears that the uploaded file is damaged and nothing can be done with it anymore. Why is it like that?
2. While working on the project, I can not read the VST. Then the information appears that the plugin can not be loaded because there is not enough working memory, even though I have more than 800GB free RAM. Why is it like that?
I hope that you can answer my questions to me because I have been looking for help in various forums for a long time, but no one can answer me in a matter-of-fact way.
Hi, I can't directly answer your question 1 (as to why your installation of MM closes down, seemingly without warning) but you really do need to be incrementally saving your work as you go along, perhaps as often as every 15 minutes. I assume you have set the option in "Program settings>General options>Save project backups automatically"? My personal choice is for every 10 minutes. But you also need to manually save your project, ideally incrementally, (e.g. MyProject.MMM, then the next save would be MyProject01.MMM, then MyProject02.MMM, and so on). You may well end up with lots of project files but, should the worst happen and the program crashes or the project becomes corrupt, you have slightly earlier versions to which you can revert and start working again.
Question 2 shows some misunderstanding about "memory". You say you have 800GB free RAM; I have to say that is extremely unlikely if not impossible! I think you may well have 800GB free hard drive space, but I have yet to hear of any computer that is capable of handling that amount of RAM, Random Access Memory, the memory chips on your computer's motherboard. Many computers will have 4, 8, 16GB, more rarely 32GB, even less common 64GB (I do once remember reading somewhere a comment from a writer that he had 96GB in his machine, he's the only one I've come across with such an amount); so, 800GB, no. However, depending on the amount of RAM you do have installed, yes, it is possible that it is insufficient to allow a particular plugin to be loaded. So, how much RAM does your computer actually have? If you do have as little as 4GB and are running a 64 bit version of Windows, then it is entirely feasible that MM will struggle to load a VST.
If you were to give us the detailed spec of your computer (version of Windows and whether 32 bit or 64 bit, RAM, Hard Drive(s), CPU, GPU, etc., etc.) we might be able to offer more advice.
You're right. Something wrong with this data. Here you have the parameters of my laptop
Operating system - Win 10 64 bit The HP 250 G5 Intel (R) Core (TM) processor i5-6200U Memory 8192MB RAM Paging files 466MB used, 7128MB available DirectX 12 version
We don't know anything about your hard disc (size and free space, the "paging file" figures are not really directly relevant here) but you have 8GB RAM (not 800). I suspect that, if you are using a number of VSTs and/or VSTis and have even a smallish number of tracks with loops etc. in use in your MM project, that that amount of RAM is going to be pretty close to the minimum needed. Your experience of the program shutting down, apparently without warning, could well be indicative of a lack of computer resources.
If you want to further explore Samplitude Pro, I can highly recommend Kraznet's tutorial videos on YouTube. Check out this YouTube playlist for MIDI-related topics in Sampitude:
I bought a recent plug-in and installed it in MMM. I had to uninstall the program and reinstall it, but the purchased plugin is ... inactive. What should I do to make her active?
You haven't said whether this new plug-in is a VST or a VSTi, nor indeed anything about it, even its name! Without that information there is really no chance than anyone can help you!
