Which version of Samplitude and which version of Waves?

From other posts you have made I suspect you are running Samplitude Pro. Is that correct? If so a more appropriate forum for you might be the dedicated Samplitude Pro/Sequoia forum here.

SmpproX7. A much older version of WAVES however ... which I suspect is the problem.

@luigentile If I remember it correctly I read that Waves plugins were always somewhat off from the VST standard, which made them hit and miss in terms of compatibility with different DAWs.

But that doesn't mean that Samplitude's VST3 integration is perfect. Are the plugins also available in VST2? This could work better.

Thank you so much for writing to me. Yeah … I kinda noticed with each new version of Samp … the vsts (also 2) became quirky. Guess I gotta look somewhere else. Thanks again … it’s what I feared.
