Other than a program glitch in Music Maker 2015,could there be any other reason
that a VST plugin would load in the 2014 version but not in the new 2015 version?
Thanks,John.
Yes,I did add the path. The VST is AAS Player by Applied Acoustics Systems.
It is in Instruments but when I try to load (run) it,I get the message,"Magix Music Maker has stopped working". Another VST I have is AMBeats and it works fine in 2014 & 2015.
And I'm sure both are 32-bit.
Hi, Musica. I am experiencing a similar issue Music Maker 2015 right now. Music Maker 2015 installed okay after dealing with a few problems, but I get a strange error when attempting to install most of the Vita instrument plug-ins -- errors like, "The feature you are trying to use is on a network that is unavailable." When the tech people ask me to do something, it is common for them to leave out critical steps – like forgetting to mention that when I need to reinstall the program (a total and complete waste of time, as it turns out), I have to first uninstall it. (I learned the hard way – by trial and error). Also, when I try and access a VST instrument in my library, I cannot. I get an error message and I can only hear a generic piano simulation -- on every instrument! And in the MM2015's Copy-and-Paste feature (and Cut-and-Paste feature), I copy (or cut), but when I go to paste, instead of actually saying "Paste" (as it does in Music Maker 2013), it says "Inserting." Apparently MAGIX has decided that the same Cut-and-Paste feature that computer users have been using for the last 20 years isn't good enough. Now they should be required to "Cut-and-Inserting." I have been in contact with them for weeks. I have spent many hours trying to get to the bottom of these issues and resolve them. The soft is flawed and has bugs. The MM2015 Patch didn't help with any of my issues. I ran their diagnostic and sent the results of the system scan, but it didn't help at all. Now I feel kind of like I am doing product development for MAGIX on this product without being paid for all of my hours of time. I believe there should have been much more work on this software to make it better ready for consumers before it was put on the market. I can't say why it is so lame. Perhaps I could guess that the programmers aren't really up to the task, of maybe there just wasn't an adequate budget for pre-sales product testing during the development phase. I am not happy. Hopefully we will get the bugs ironed out -- sooner or later. So far, no luck. I had to finally give up on Music Maker 2014. I have a great PC that runs a lot of higher-end programs with no issues. Apparently Music Maker 2014 and 2015 are "special." With MM2014, I spent my money quickly to buy it. The refund came back very slowly! As it looks, if nothing improves I will be forced to go back (again) to MM2013, and request and wait for yet another refund. And when will they stop "padding" the Soundpool DVD's with obsolete electro club sounds and tracks with too much noise to use and put more real instruments that we can actually use instead? I contacted them about that. They didn't seem interested. I think they should pay more attention to what their customers actually want instead of what they think they want. Functioning in too much of a vacuum for too long could really hurt their bottom line. They need to quit "coasting," and start taking their customers a little more seriously. I get the impression that there is something of an "ivory tower" syndrome going on at MAGIX. As a customer -- I am generally speaking -- not overly impressed at this point. I would like to say that I had some issues, and they were worked out without a lot of wasted time and effort, and that now everything is fine, but it's way past that now.
Hi,scoach1999. Man,I can feel your frustration! If and until they get MM2015 more stable,I won't be messing around with the program. It's interesting to hear of the result of your running their diagnostic and sending it to them, that it didn't help at all. When it contacted them about my problem, that's what they wanted me to do but I decided not to do that. I also asked several times where's the 64-bit version and I got no reply on that question.
It's suppose to be a customer-centered world but in this case, your right,it doesn't appear to be.
Not only doesn't it load any Vst Plugin I add to the custom path, I always have to start listening to my project from the very beginning, because it gets asynchronous when I start somewhere else!
