"The VST Plug-in Editor can be opened by right-clicking on the instrument's name in the MIDI Editor, via the corresponding plug-in slot in the Mixer, or via the "VST Instruments Editor" entry in the instrument list."
@dmstar1956 It's the graphical user interface of the instrument. Depending on the instrument you use, it will look different. For Magix Vita Instruments it usually looks like this (example Celtic Harp):
"The VST Plug-in Editor can be opened by right-clicking on the instrument's name in the MIDI Editor, via the corresponding plug-in slot in the Mixer, or via the "VST Instruments Editor" entry in the instrument list."
Pg. 74, Magix Music Maker, 2022 edition
Not trying to split hairs, but the above sentence says you can open the plug-in editor three different ways, yet it doesn't show you how to use any of the above methods.
Open the plug-in editor by right-clicking on the instrument name in the Midi Editor? The instrument name in the Midi Editor is not shown.
Open the plug-in editor via the corresponding plug-in slot in the Mixer. The corresponding plug-in slot in the Mixer is not shown.
Open the instrument list to access the VST Instruments Editor entry? Where do I look for the instrument list?
@dmstar1956 Use the gear icons I marked in red in the track header or in the MIDI Editor.
The old method via right click in the MIDI Editor or via the Mixer only works in older versions of Music Maker, before they replaced the GUI with the new one.
....It would be nice if Magix updated their user guide to reflect such changes....
Magix Music Maker 2022 edition is no longer supported and for that reason the user manual will no longer be updated. You can upgrade Magix Music Maker 2022 Music to Maker 2025 premium for the price of $39.99
