@Former user Maybe the plugins were blacklisted.

You can remove the scanned VST plugins by opening C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\mm30 and deleting all the textfiles named plugin_scan_state_VST2_x32.scan, plugin_scan_state_VST2_x64.scan, plugin_scan_state_VST3_x32.scan, plugin_scan_state_VST3_x64.scan.

Then scan the plugins again.

Blacklisted by who? It did not solve the problem.

Former user wrote on 12/21/2021, 6:54 AM

IS Magix blocking 3rd party VSTs?

Former user wrote on 12/21/2021, 6:55 AM

All my VSTS load great in Reaper! Whats going on 😕Magix???!!

SP. wrote on 12/21/2021, 7:19 AM

@Former user If the VST scanner cannot load a plugin, it can get blacklisted and not scanned a second time. That is why I suggested to delete the files. You can edit them by hand, but I think it is easier just to delete them and re-scan everything. Try opening them in a text editor and look for the blacklisted plugins inside. You will find them at the end of the file.

@Former user

Hi

Which edition of Music Maker are you using?

Do you have the VST Bridge feature installed?

Bridge is installed. Grallion 32 bit shows fine. Emmisary Amp 32 bit shows fine. Grallion.vst3 shows up fine!!!!! Perfect Drums, TrapSoul, and ToonTrack EZ Drummer 2 vsts and .dll files are in the right folders. I have deleted the files manually from the specified folders My other DAW programs never have problems loading VSTs. Not even once in the 10 years I have had them. Looks like the end of an era for Magix ----2022...R.I.P. Looks like 2018 Magix Music Maker will be my go to as far as Magix goes. I spent 16 hours troublshooting. Wow I think i'm going to the hospital.

Former user wrote on 12/21/2021, 4:40 PM

All i wanted to do was make a 16 bar drum loop. Should not have taken 16 hours to attempt to configure. Still no results, but thanks anyway. I'm burned out on Magix troubleshooting. Maybe I should wait until Magix has time to improve their new attempt at using 3rd party VSTS. Hoping for 2022 to be over as soon as it arrives. Let's hope for a better release in 2023.

SP. wrote on 12/21/2021, 4:57 PM

@Former user Did you look inside the scan files with a text editor if your plugins were found and blacklisted?

Former user wrote on 12/21/2021, 5:04 PM

What if they are blacklisted? Who would blacklist plugins? Why would they be blacklisted and by whom? Would blacklisting render vsts permanently useless? If so I wasted a lot of money on a new computer, drum software, just to use Magix. Well over $1,000.

Former user wrote on 12/21/2021, 5:05 PM

Sounds like another night of troubleshooting 2 so far...when I could be producing.

SP. wrote on 12/21/2021, 5:11 PM

@Former user It would be just good to know if the scanner was able to find the missing plugins no matter if they are blacklisted or not. If the scanner could scan them, they should be listed in the file.

Former user wrote on 12/21/2021, 5:12 PM

I have a customer who wants to do some work. Now I'm at complete work stoppage. Losing time and money since 2022 MMM was released. Not happy with 2022. It does not flow like 2018 did. Very disappointed. Nodding endlessly. I don't care about spending the money. It is my emotions and my customers I worry about. I just wanted a stable product. Magix is not one of them.

SP. wrote on 12/21/2021, 5:26 PM

@Former user Every professional service like yours should have a production system and a test system and do not change the production system without a backup or until all jobs for the clients are done.

You are not very helpful either if I asked you about the information inside the scan files. I'm sorry, but we are just users like you. I cannot see into your computer system and what is going on there. It is more or less guessing.

Former user wrote on 12/21/2021, 11:49 PM

Magix servers are blacklisting everything even their own plug ins, but they still work.

Even more with MMM 2022

I see you deleted your user account?

In case you still read this, why are your 64 bit plugins installed in Program Files (x86) which is for 32 bit applications?

It also looks like you have installed some plugins multiple times in different folders? I would guess that Music Maker gets confused by trying to load Perfect Drums from C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\, C:\Program Files\Steinberg\, C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTPlugins\ and C:\Program Files (x86)\VST\ at the same time. Are these even the same DLL files or are these different versions of the plugin?
