In Video Pro X I go to Settings / Folder / add vst
I added all the vst folders from my computer and a lot of plugins are not showing up
I saw some of them being scrolled through by the software but they don;t show up in the mixer ... Some Vst plugins work and show up properly a lot don't ...

VPX can only run the newer vst standard 64 bit plug-ins so will not work with older vst 2 or 32 bit plug-ins.
So for instance it can't use my older Cubase vst plug-ins but can run some of my newer ones.

Well I do have tons of 64 bit plugins that are not showing up ...
They use to show up in my previous install this is an issue that just appeared since I updated to the latest version

Can you give an example of the VSts you are looking for and where you are expecting them to be?
The VSts should be available in several places, eg in the Mixer they are available for a single track or all tracks using the FX buttons above the track controls or Master controls, which open the Track effects dialog or the Master Effects dialog - as shown in the this example for the Track effects dialog.

Have you tried searching with the "Plugin Manager" in the Effects tab in the media pool.
....so will not work with older vst 2
Magix say it is designed to work with VST2....I thought it was VST3 plugins it could not use? Or do you just mean older ie 32bit VST2s as opposed to newer 64bit VST2s?

Sorry, yes the 32 bit versions don't work. I got my vst 3s and 2s mixed up.
Too many programs running too many plug-in versions 🙂.

Sometimes I have had to reboot and do a 2nd pass to get all of my VSTs seen by VEP.

Is there stil la way to contact directly Magix support ? Everything I try is just poiting me here to the forums ...
VST's work fine for me, so not a bug that I can reproduce on either of my computers. Note that only VST2 64 bits work with VPX.
Did you put your VST's under:
C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins
If not, then do so. There was a message recently about MEP, I believe, having problems with VST's that were elsewhere. I have most of mine under subfolders of the above folder and I rescanned for VST's in the main folder each time that I added one.
I also have some VST's under:
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins
That also works, but I rescanned every time that I added one.

Actually, the place where you add the VST Plugin path is in the VPX "Program Settings (Y key) > Folder Tab" at the bottom.
