Miguel-Andrade wrote on 10/24/2021, 4:01 AM

Hi, after installing a new instrument all midi instruments are failing when I try to export to mp3 or wav. This is really distrurbing, I've invested already more than 400 Euro in Music Maker and the*** program does not seem to be stable. Can you please help me ?!!

@Miguel-Andrade How are they failing?

Miguel-Andrade wrote on 10/25/2021, 5:22 AM

Some instruments tracks are now always "grey" and when I try to export the file a get a message saying that

"There are MIDI objects on the "afected sectoin". Activate on the corresponding tracks the CST instruments so that the MIDI information in the file may be heard."

I already have tried to activate, deactivate, reset... it just doesn't work, the last buy has ruined MM again...

Also when I try to playback the track MM frequently now freezes...

I must confess I am getting a bit tired.

Miguel-Andrade wrote on 10/25/2021, 5:31 AM

Also the system, after this last buy, now crashes frequently "jumping back" to Windows without sending any reports. I am afraid I did make a big mistake when not buying Cubasis...

@Miguel-Andrade Are the tracks maybe muted? Can you upload some screenshots or a video here so that we can see your settings and what is happening? You can upload screenshots or videos with the arrow icon above the textbox.

Tracks aren't muted, if they were muted I wouldn't get an message. Also please don't forget that MM crashes and freezes (making simultaneously a weird noise).... Sending a pdf with the print screens.

Hi

Which edition of Music maker do you have - Free plus or Premium and what is the version number as found under Help, About?

In the Instruments panel does the Saxophonia instrument have a lock symbol as shown below when you hover the mouse over it?

Premium Edition 30.0.3.39. There is NO LOCK on the Sax, as per the PrtScreen i've sent. The Chimes and Glas instrument is also grey, not only the Sax.

If this is the Premium Edition ... I imagine how unlucky the owners of other versions are.

@Miguel-Andrade It could be very well a bug. Have you tried to add new tracks with Saxophonia and move the MIDI objects there and to remove the problematic tracks? Does this problem also appear with new songs that are made from scratch?

Crashes and freezes can be caused by audio driver problems. Are you using Magix Low Latency or do you use an USB-audiointerface with its own drivers? That runs often much more stable than Magix Low Latency. Have you tried to increase the buffer size in the program and driver settings?

I'll try those operations you suggest and come back later.

Regardings Crashes and freezes, I'm using an Yamaha audiointerface with its own updated drivers. I didn't try to increase buffer size, I'll try it now.

Version 30 is Music Maker 2022, not 2021. When the software updated to version 30, did you also buy the upgrade to the Premium Edition? If you simply updated, what you now have is the Free edition of MM 2022, with the extras that MM 2021 and 2020 (if previously purchased) Premium Edition(s) gave you as extras for those release years.

However, I don't think that, even if you did not buy the 2022 upgrade to the Premium Edition, that that would account for the problems you are experiencing. What is your computer specification and which Audio Driver have you selected to use?

Also, have you tried the often-suggested check of logging out of the program, going to Program Settings and clicking on Clean Up Store, closing the app, re-opening it and logging back in again? Does this effect any change?

By the way, I hope you are aware that a number of the screenshots you have posted include your email address. It is not advisable to reveal this in a public forum unless you are happy to be possibly deluged with spam!

Hi Jeff, starting by the end thanks for letting me know this is a public forum, I thought this was MM's helpdesk.

Yes, I bought the upgrade to Music Maker 2022 Premium Edition, I've paid 70 Euro in September 30.

@Miguel-Andrade

Hi

. . . . I bought the upgrade to Music Maker 2022 Premium Edition . . . .

Did you register the software with the new serial number you would have received in the confirmation email?

If so did you then download all the Soundpools and Instruments and features that became available under the Downloads tab?

Hi JOhn, thanks for your tip.

I've uninstalled Music Maker and am installing everything again from the scratch.

I'll let you know if it works.

Hi

. . . . I've uninstalled Music Maker and am installing everything again from the scratch. . . . .

This may not work as files/folders and registry entries are left behind by the uninstaller - it knows nothing about these as they created on first run of the program.

Use the Revo Free uninstaller to initiate the uninstall, once this is complete, the program will scan for left over files etc - check that they belong to Music Maker and delete them.

Reboot your computer then re-install.
