VST instruments don't play back, but record correctly

Hello,

I have recently added the VST plugin to Magix Music Maker (It's version 31.0.2.15) , to record VST instruments.
When I press the keys on the keyboard, I hear no sound whatsoever.
However if I record a VST track while playing the keyboard (without hearing any sound), it gets recorded correctly.
Then AFTER I finished the recording I can play back the track and hear the VST instrument correctly.

So I cannot press the keyboard and hear what I play (only until after it's recorded).

Why does this happen? What can I change to make it work?
I did not find any appropriate settings to change this, whatever I tried.

@MuzicaFilmica

Hi

These are the Audio settings which allow me to hear and play VST instruments:

Clicking the Advanced button opens the dialog shown on the right (this is Windows 11)
