VST Directory

Hi all. I bought MM EDM Edition some time ago and am just now using it. I have successfully activated my key and redeemed all my coupons that came with it. Downloaded a few VSTs online and cannot figure out how to point the software to recognize where I placed the .dll files.

When I go into Settings > Folders I only have the option to change 5 directories (Project, Imports, Exports, Recording, Soundpool).

I have reinstalled a handful of times and activated my key, yet I do not have the full capability of the software.

Any help would be appreciated.

@James-K

Welcome to the Magix forums.

The screenshot you show is the only place that the option to "Add VST Plug in path" can appear, as far as I am aware. Since your installation does not include this option I think we must assume that the specific versionย of MM which you have does not allow the addition of "external" VSTs.

If you wish to be able to use those VSTs in MM I think your only choice is to look into upgrading the version you have. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Indeed the EDM version lets you add 3 soundpools and one Magix instrument and one tiny percussion from the store but no additional features like VST support. I guess you would have to buy the more tracks and features feature from the store which means you might as well have purchased a Plus or Premium version in the first place. I'm not sure how much the more tracks and features option costs.

Understood. Thank you both very much. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
