voucher code not recognized

yes,, I have downloaded mx and the execute programs, Neither MAGIX registration nor download recognize my voucher code for this new software to download. I have a DVD, my new laptop needs to download from the internet as there is no DVD player...help!!!!

What is " mx "?

Did Sound Forge (assuming that is what you have) successfully install, but you cannot activate it.
Where was it purchased?
When Sound Forge (and most other Magix software) is sold on a disc, the 'Activation' serial code is usually on a disc insert or somewhere on the jacket. OTOH, when SF is sold as a 'download' by a third-party seller, a 'Voucher' code is given to the buyer to redeem at Magix, who will email the buyer the serial code to activate SF. The voucher and serial codes are not interchangeable.

If it was purchased directly from Magix, email Magix customer service at sales@magix.net or infoservice@magix.net

Thank you very much for your response it's quite helpful

I have yet to download the sound forge to my new computer, as I have the voucher number but not the serial number

The software was a Christmas present and I'm having my friend check to see if he got the email with the serial number.

I repeatedly plugged in the voucher number at the redeem site, it never recognized it.

Is that because I have a DVD?

It should not matter the source of the installation files, as long as Sound Forge installed successfully.
Are you sure you have a 'voucher' code and not the serial. The activation serial issued by Magix would be P3 followed by six sets of five charterers separated by hyphens.. for instance:
P3-12345-12345-12345-12345-12345-12345

btw, do not post actual serials or other personal info on this public forum.

Thanks to your sage advice above I went in with my voucher number to the redeem page and succeeded and getting the email with the serial number for the software, registered the software and went to download it......

3 hours later it was only 20% downloaded, and the download was stalled.

I had to shut everything down as I had things I needed to do, and a few hours later went back in to try to download again and it would not allow me to do that.

Any advice as to wire download would take 5 to 12 hours?

Any advice on getting it to download again completely?

Hi @Ronn-Pigram, the installation manager's downloading procedure has been flaky lately and many have experienced this. The other items in the manager should download/install ok if the main SF app is not check-marked, It is usually just the main program downloading that causes the problem
- Try again, temporarily disabling anti-virus.. or .. (assuming you have Sound Forge Audio Studio 16), download the unpacked installer file directly and install from that.

I have reported the slow download speeds being experienced this evening, there would appear to be an issue that is not related to the Download Manager - it is affecting the download of the Manager itself as well.

Today (in NY @ 4PM EST) the direct unpacked 900MB SF file from above downloaded in a few minutes.. downloading from the installation manager is still at 0% after 5 min.

I started downloading sound forge 16 at about 11:30 Pacific, when it started it was already at 21% from the 4 hours I spent downloading yesterday, at 3:00 p.m. 3 and 1/2 hours later it was at 70% and absolutely nothing was happening downloading ceased..

Had truly hope to finish this up today I can't believe it's taking three or four days to download!

 

What's up with that?

There would appear to be a wider issue with connecting to the Magix download servers at this time, other users in the video forum are also experiencing the same issues.
