Vocal FX

I'm a novice at mixing music, but I've messed around with Acid Music Studio for 10 years or so and can work my way around except for one thing.

My question: After recording my vocals, what do I do to make them sound more rich. In the past I've used FX: Reverb, but that doesn't always work well and most times makes it sound too echoey...help and thanks.

EQ - Compressor - Effect (delay and or reverb) in that order. It helps (a lot) if you have a good mic, mic preamp and mixer Best of luck, Cheers
