Vita Samples

Ian-Kaye wrote on 1/26/2021, 5:09 AM

Hi, first time poster. I just bought and downloaded Music Maker Premium 2021. Everything is great but i don't seem to have the Vita sample plug in that has basses, synths and other sounds. I have Vita LE with drums and percussion but when i click on vita in the drop down menu in the add box on the track line it only shows drums and percussion. How do i get it or where do I find it? I'm guessing it hasn't downloaded Please help. Thankyou

Yes, I have the same problem there is only drums and percussion, no Basses or other Instruments in Vita LE.

I have  Music Maker Premium 2021 and I have seen on YouTube Vita LE with lots of instruments in the program.

Can someone from Magix please answer this question.

Thank You

@PCQ Have you checked if the full version of Vita is listed under the Download tab on the right side of the screen?

Graham-Hawker wrote on 4/13/2021, 8:02 AM

I think the free version only comes with the drums. I think you have to obtain the presets from the shop as one of your free options if you have Music Maker Premium or otherwise buy them from the shop.

@PCQ

Welcome.

Since these are user to user forums, there is no-one here from Magix to answer this question, sorry.

I fully agree with what @SP. suggests; you need to check the Downloads tab that everything included in MM Premium 2021 has been downloaded and installed to your PC.

Edit: just to ad a little to what @Graham-Hawker has written; have you bought MM 2021 Premium or, if you previously had MM 2020 Premium, did you pay to upgrade to MM 2021? Merely updating form any older version means you are now running the Free variant of MM 2021.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you very much for your replies. I also asked Magix Support about this problem and I have just received this reply from them.

"Hello Paul,

Thank you for your message.

What you're seeing is indeed the basic set of settings that comes for free with this particular software instrument. What you have seen in those YouTube clips would be additional add-on sounds/presets. In the context of the current Music Maker generation with the built-in store system, you can acquire these through the "Preset" category of the in-app store. If you check you will find that there is a total of two additional preset packs you can obtain for Vita - the "Plus" and the "Premium" one.

I hope this information helps."

This reply answers my question. I have checked and I can buy the add-on Presets.

Thank You again for your replies,

Paul

@PCQ

Re that message from Support: I have MM 2021 Premium and those presets were "free" to me to download when I upgraded to this latest version. IOW, if you do have MM 2021 Premium and have registered and activated it (with a "new" serial key for this version) I think there should be no question of you needing to buy them.

I did upgrade to 2021 Premium and it is registered and activated although they did not give me a new serial number. The presets have not been given to me free, but I can buy them for £8.99 each.

I did upgrade to 2021 Premium

I think you might have "upgraded" to 2021 free. I would expect a new serial number and you should have been able to select various soundpools, instruments and features for free. Did you pay for this "upgrade".

emmrecs wrote on 4/13/2021, 1:08 PM

@PCQ

@Graham-Hawker is entirely correct; if you did not receive a new serial number for MM 2021 you did not actually upgrade (I.e., buy the new version) so what you are now running is MM 2021 Free. Hence the problem of these "missing" features. Whether you choose to now buy the full upgrade, or merely add the two sets of presets is clearly up to you but another limitation of the Free version is that you have a maximum of 8 tracks available to you.

I think I need to set the record straight as to how I got to where I am today.

I first bought the Ashampoo version of Magix Music Maker 2021 on 16th March 2021 for which I got a serial number.

After a few days of use, and watching YouTube videos, I realised this was a very basic version of the program so on the 22nd of March 2021 I bought the upgrade to Magix Music Maker 2021 Premium from Magix. The upgrade all happened within the existing program. It just updated everything. Gave me lots of new features, new sound pools, extended the number of tracks I could have etc. The thing is because it upgraded whilst I was running the existing program, I did not get an installation file and they did not give me a new serial number for the 2021 Premium version. It seems like the original serial number I got with the Ashampoo version is ok for my 2021 premium version.

The only issue now is I do not have the extra presets for the Vita LE but maybe they were not free at the time of my upgrade.

@PCQ

Hi Paul

. . . . I do not have the extra presets for the Vita LE  . . . .

There is no Vita LE in Music Maker 2021 - you get the full version called Vita.

Do you mean Concert Grand LE?

If so this has only one preset - the full version is Concert Grand as shown below

Under Help, Magix Store, Activated content do you see the 2 versions of Music Maker as shown below?

Did you choose the soundpools and features (and instruments). You should be able to choose 3 soundpools and 1 soundpool collection and 3 instruments. On older versions you could also select a number features which included the presets for Vita. But I don't see this listed as an option for the 2021 version which I guess means you need to buy them.

@Ian-Kaye @PCQ

Hi,

Make sure that you have downloaded and installed everything under the Downloads tab. Check under the Store that you have acquired the Plus Vita Presets.

If you have all of this downloaded and installed, then they should show up. Click on the + button at the left of a track and select Vita. Do not select an instrument from within, just click on the button.

Once you have the Vita instrument, click on the presets dropdown. Are there more instruments?
