VIP won't load and BAK empty

I was wondering if anyone had an idea how to recover a corrupted VIP in Samplitude Pro X6. I lost power with a session open and when I try to open the VIP, I get "Wrong file format!" (the exclamation point is to add insult to injury, I suppose). The BAK file is totally empty. It was a new project, but had two midi track and one track with audio. The wave file is still there, as is the wave project file and an H2 file. Editing to add that the session was a few days old and had been saved and reopened many times..

@ebeam

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Are you aware there is a dedicated forum for users of Samplitude Pro here?

I believe there are very few users of that software who post in this current forum and I would, therefore, suggest you register at and repost your question there since it is rather more likely that you will receive useful advice there.
