Ref MAGIX Movie edit pro 14 Plus.

I have been using MAGIX Movie Edit pro 14 since it came out to edit and convert the video to a Windows format to upload to Facebook to our church page so members can see the service.

This process 75 or more videos has worked with no problems since I got Pro 14 until this week.

After loading the video to the computer using MAGIX and editing the video I will go to the "Export Video" and select "Windows Media Export" option.

After it has started to convert to the Windows Media format it will stop, shut down and reboot  the computer about half way thru the process.

I have deleted and reloaded the program.  Deleted the video and reloaded it and even tried another video.  Still does the same thing.

Everything else on the computer seems to working ok.  I have cleaned the computer of misc stuff and run my anti virus program no problem.

I am using MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 14 Plus Ver 7.5.2.11 --  Microsoft Windows XP, Media Center Edition, Vers 2002 Service Pack 3 -- Computer Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz, 3.19 Ghz, 2.00GB of RAM  1GB Hard Drive little over 1/4 full.

Can anyone help.  PLEASE

Hi

Have you checked to see if your processor is overheating and shutting the computer down?  There are two possible ways to check

1.  If your BIOS allows temperature alarm setting, turn it on and set the alarm temperature to 65 - 70 deg C

2.  Download and install Motherboard Monitor (search Google).  Again you can set alarms with it and see what happens when you process the video again.

Also, if you have not done it before, get all the fans and heatsinks in the PC cleaned - it is surprising just how much dust gets in there.
