I am using Magix Movie Edit Pro 2016 Plus and Windows 10. I am trying to add a video file (.mov) to my movie and I'm getting an error message that the file format cannot be read. The details state "MXMPEG2 Error 0110: no media decoder found". How do I remedy this?

Currently using Magix Movie Edit Pro Plus 2021 on Windows 10 OS,

Hi

For MOV files you either need to do the following:

Install Quicktime - however there is a lot of conflicting information on whether this is safe or not because of a serious security hole in one of the Quicktime applications - see this post.

Alternatively use a video converter - see Xenofex2's solution - read further on from the post linked to above.
