Welcome to the Magix users forum.

Your experience with Music Maker is not common (if it were, these forums would be flooded with similar complaints!) so, in order to help us to help you, please give us a lot more detail about your computer (the fact that it is new and fully up to date doesn't tell us anything about its hardware, software, OS etc., etc). Please read this post and give us as much information as you can, including exactly which version and edition of Music Maker you have.

Then, please tell us exactly what you are trying to do when this extreme slow down happens; a reproducible step by step guide will help us to see if we can reproduce the problem on our machines.

@wodn Try disabling the Text Cursor Indicator in the Windows settings. Usually, this will instantly speed up the software.
