Very annoying beep that is added to recordings on editing.

Please advise how to remove the beep that this program is inserting into the audio. This is version 17. I have just wrecked several recordings with this beep that inserts itself and should not happen at all. I paid for this program as I very happy with v.8. Surely there has to be a fix for this. It sounds dreadful on playback and just wrecks good recordings. Please advise what to do.

@Val-Stevens This happens if you run effect plugins in demo mode. They will usually add a beep, white noise or set the volume to zero.

As @SP. stated, one of your plug-ins is likely in a demo mode. Register or remove it
If you have the trial version of Sound Forge, that does not add beeps. After 30-days, it simply will not open without a valid activation code.

I have registered my product. How do I take something out of demo mode? I mostly only use volume, time stretch and reverb in my editing.

@Val-Stevens Do you have Sound Forge 8 installed on the same computer? Is it maybe a plugin from that old version?

Check to see if any plug-ins are present in 'timeline' Fx plug-in chainer (View> Fx Plug-in chain)
Plug-ins in the 'Fx Favorites' Apply plug-in chain mode are automatically closed when the Fx chain is executed or the file is closed. This is not the case however with the timeline chainer, so there maybe some running there you are not aware of.

It seems to be working ok on new recordings..... but when I bring up a previous one to make a small edit with volume on just a little piece of it, it still gives the beeps. And that seems to be random too.... It didn't do it on one, but the next one it did. I deleted SF 8 so they weren't conflicting. Just very frustrating when I work between 2 computers.... and the original one has crashed....or needs new sound and graphics card, hence the purchase of the newer version onto my windows 10 computer. Guess I just have to work around it....... thank you for taking the time to reply and be of help.

@Val-Stevens, if the files that are prone to produce the beeping sounds are lossy file types (MP3, AAC and such), You might try enabling "Always proxy compressed formats" in "Options> Preferences> General"
