Vegas Pro 18 maximum number of installations exceeded error

Magix account says that i can run Vegas Pro 18 on two computers. I have installed it on exactly two computers. Ever since installing it on the second computer, I cannot open it on the original computer because it says I've exceeded the number of computers permitted. It shows a list of the two computers currently activated, and the one I am using IS one of those two computers, but the program doesn't seem to recognize that and refuses to open. If I deactivate the license for the computer I'm using, then reactivate it on the same computer, it works fine. This does not make sense to me. I previously only had the program on this one computer, and everything was fine for years. Now that I have it on two computers (and the account says it can run on two of them simultaneously), I have this problem. Only deactivating the one I'm using and reactivating it solves the problem, but I have to do that every time I open the program. I do not understand how to solve this problem. using Windows 11 Pro.

@Jack-Tasker

Hi and welcome to the forum - albeit the wrong one.

Vegas products, with the exception of Magix Movie Studio 18 and later versions, have their own forum see the Important Posts here.

There should also be a link to the correct forum under Help in the program.

I would suggest you post your question there
