Product accepted installation code, and installed software, but still receive the message "Error code -14" when you try to register it.

If your product is definitely Vegas Movie Studio, please read this pinned post and follow the advice given there because you are in the wrong forum.
OTOH, if your product is actually Magix Movie Studio 18 or the very new Movie Studio 2022 then you are in the correct forum. So first, please tell us exactly which product you have.

Hi,
Supplier was Magix Shop online. Their e.mail confirmation came through for "vegasmoviestudio17 platinum", but the subsequent download came through as "Movie Studio 2022 Platinum." Serial number and my e.mail address were accepted, but it all stops with Error code 14 when I try to register. What do I need to do, please?

During a MAGIX product activation, this error generally means that you're putting a valid MAGIX serial number into the wrong MAGIX product or version/edition.
In this case you are trying to enter a Vegas Movie Studio 17 serial number in to Magix Movie Studio 2022 which is an entirely different program.
There should be a link to the correct download in the confirmation email your received with the serial number in it.
If there is not then contact Magix at infoservice@magix.net and explain the problem.
