@GermanGreed

We need more information on your computer specification -

  3. audio card or chipset make/model,
  4. quantity of installed RAM

Hey, hows it going John. It seems that only the CPU is getting used 95/100%. RAM,Disk & GPU is at a low utilization. This occurs when I play the video or move the marker to a new section. It's not just a spike but, somewhat constant until I pause the video.

Hi

Thanks for the specs, that helps a great deal.

The following settings can help improve performance.

Nvidia control panel - the Intel UHD Graphics 630 is used for acceleration instead of the GTX1060.

Program settings Import/Export tab -

  1. Hardware acceleration for playback
  2. Hardware acceleration for encoding
  3. MXV multi threading . . . .

    are all checked

Project settings -

Automatically create proxy files is checked

Preview monitor -

  1. The blue lightning symbol bottom right is turned on

    and

  2. Reduce framerate and Use proxy files are checked, click the ... on the lightning symbol to get to these.

HTH
