Using Sonivox

I have purchased several Sonivox VSTs which are very good. However, I can't get Big Band Cinematic Percussion to respond to MIDI notation in my Samplitude 2021 64 bit.

The Virtual Keyboard is live and I can hear the sounds but I can't persuade the sound to respond to a MIDI file. If I use brass, woodwinds, strings from Sonivox in the same channel they work and respond to the MIDI information.

Has anyone any ideas please? I've also written to Sonivox but I think it's a Magix setup problem.

Hi Mike,

I don't have either Samplitude or Sonivox VSTs so my suggestion may be way off-beam, but I know a lot of MIDI Drum Modules will often default to MIDI Channel 10 or 16. Have you tried selecting a different MIDI Channel Out in Samplitude?

Thanks Jeff - You might be right - 10 is usually percuddion in MIDI - I'll give it a try. I'm not sure how to do that but I'll figure it out.

Thanks again. Have a great Christmas and an even better New Year!
