Using Multiple VST Folders In Samplitude Music Studio 2013 Audio In Music Studio Cuts Out When Browser Plays Videos

Hi

I have a folder called Third Party Plugins? Can I get Music Studio to scan this folder for plugins as well as scanning the standard installation one? Reaper can do this, you can specify multipe VST folders if required.

Another odd thing that keeps happenning. If I go online and view a Youtube video or something, the audio in Music Studio 2013 has stopped working, when I go back to it? I have to restart the program to make it work agan. What is causing that any ideas? Firefox browser being used.
Magix Installation folder path is this. C:\Program Files\MAGIX\SamplitudeMusicStudio14\VST Plugins

Third party plugin path is this. C:\VST Plugins Third Party\

Can I get Music Studio to see both and if so how?

Thanks

Andy

Am using Vista Quad core 4GB Ram Soundblaster Xfi extreme soundcard..

Hi Andy,

Yes. Go to Program settings (P), Effects, VST/Rewire and browse to the VST Plugin folder that you mentioned. You can have multiple locations, Music Studio remembers them, but it only shows the last one.

To avoid having to do this, I add my VST plugins under the normal VST plugins folder as Third Party. That way any new ones are automatically scanned upon opening the program.

Mine are actually all under:

C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTPlugins\

not the one that you have indicated. Check for this folder. When you purchase a new version, it will also look here and not in the previous version.

If you upgrade to Samplitude Music Studio 2015, it is a 64 bit program and the 64 bit VST programs should all be under:

C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins
