Using hardware for automation

Hi!
Samplitude Music Studio 15 here.
I want to use an external hardware for controlling various automation parameters. I have succesfully installed the hardware, but when I assign a TrackVPot function, it sticks to panorama control. How do I set it to control a parameter of a VST effect/VSTi? Music Studio 15 lacks the "learn hardware controller" function, but accidentally I managed to link a vpot to the desired parameter (thence it is possible). However, as said, this was done by accident and I cannot recreate this.

Is anyone able to help me?

Hi,

When you right-click on a parameter of a VST/VSTi effect, do you see a menu with the learn command?

Nope, there's no menu. Both in plugin and parameter dialogs.

Under Help, About, what is the version number? By 15, do you mean 2015?

Select a Magix instrument and tell me which one. Get the instrument interface on the screen. Right click on the volume knob. Here is what I see in my old Music Studio 2 (version 20.0.0.11).

Samplitude Music Studio 15 version 15.00, published probably in 2008.

Right clicking the knobs have no effect, unless the plugin was programmed to open a pop-up.
