Using a vcr, pinnacle usb converter 710 and cannot get the computer get the incoming image although I've used it before.  Maybe its a security setting or something...I'm using the cord used for printer connections, I assume that is what I used before - using the yellow and white cord on other end....I'm ready to go to the store and by a different kind of cord or vcr but don't know what the problem is to get better...crazy thing is I've converted before..

Hi

Which version of MEP are you using?

Does it offer you the option to record from the USB 710 converter?

Are you using the correct output from the VCR, ie the red/white and yellow sockets and not the s-video socket?

It does not matter if you have a scart converter such as the one shown in this image so long as you use the correct outputs and if it has the input/output switch it is set to output.

IIRC Pinnacle devices can only be used with the Pinnacle Studio software, I have a DVC150 and MEP will not recognise it.
