USB MICROPHONE NOT WORKING WITH PROGRAM

Hello Everyone!

I am in need of some assistance!

I have just purchased Magix music maker live 2016, I am using Microsoft 7, I am on Lenovo yoga. ( very good computer by the way) The first issue that I have received is that the program apparently will not format correctly. when I open up the program it says that I need to either change my screen resolution to the highest (which its already on) or change my zoom settings. I have done both, but it really seems to not make a difference. Problem number 2 is , i continue to receive an error message from the program stating that my acoustic piano can not be found which of course is upsetting and unsettling because I do not know if my next issue is contingent upon that particular feature working. So here it is. I have purchased a CAD U1 usb microphone that of course, one is able to input into the computer and begin recording ( at least that is how it's advertised and seems to work for everyone else) well i have tried for 3 hours straight and it is not working for me. When I plug in my microphone, nothing pops up on my screen saying that a new device is available, I go to my control panel to check and configure sounds to make sure that that particular mic is set to default; it is. when i speak into the mic, it shows via the "mic test" that it is working however I hear no sound from my computer nor the Magix program. I have downloaded Audacity as well and the mic works fine with that program. I'm really at a lost and do not know what to do, please help

error message :

could not find file:

YT-MX Acoustic Piano Norm XAO

in Image file:

Hi

. . . . Lenovo yoga . . .

What is the specification of this? Please include processor type, screen resolution, drive type and free space and quantity of RAM.

. . . .Microsoft 7 . . .

Do you mean Windows 7 - was this the original Windows version with the Yoga?

. . . . The first issue that I have received is that the program apparently will not format correctly. when I open up the program it says that I need to either change my screen resolution to the highest (which its already on) or change my zoom settings. . . . .

What are the settings in the Windows, Screen control panel and have you changed them?

. . . . , i continue to receive an error message from the program stating that my acoustic piano can not be found . . . .

If you bought the download version of the program - did you download the second part of the program that contains all the extras - if not they are under Help, Update program/Upgrade functions, Download free synthesizers . . .

. . . . CAD U1 usb microphone . . . .

With the microphone plugged in, open the recording settings dialog, arrowed in the image below, you should be able to set the Audio line-in option in the dropdown circled, as shown in the image below, to the microphone used

If the microphone does not appear there, right click the speaker bottom right of the Windows screen and select Recording devices - check the microphone is there and set it to be the default recording device.

I will include all specs at the bottom of the page.

I have not changed any settings in the control panel.

With the mic plugged in i opened the program and followed your instructions. The microphone was not visible to Magix. The microphone was, and is already set to default. However I followed your instructions to do so just to make sure and it was in fact set.

I purchased the program from Best Buy. They installed the program for me. It came with Magix Music Maker live as well as Magix Samplitude

i hope that this

helps as far as specifications
