Uppgraded Photostory Delux 20.0.1.62 to 21.0.1.74

Rickhard-Roth wrote on 8/29/2021, 6:07 AM

When I started My Photostory last week I got the message that there was a update availibel.
I got the update and then i got all kind of problems, like I could not export a project in 4k or Full HD.
Also when closing a project the program crashes. On a new start of the program i got the possibility to send a crashreport so I did.
I had to uninstall the program and reinstall the program again from my DVD. 20.0.1.62 works fine. Tryed a second time to update the program but got the same problem again. So uninstall and are now back at my original version.
Anyone else have the same problem?

Running on a Windows 10, with a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core, 48 GB DDR4, Nividia Gegforce 1650 Super

@johnbaker

Thanks for the link.
Tryed to install the update again to see if I could make it work some how....
Still problems.
First of all there is no way to turn hardware acceleration on or off (seems to be on). In previous revision Under File/settings/program there was an option to turn it on/off. In new it's gone.
When i Export Mp4 format in 720 it uses hardware accelaration, but the result will not play.
Also when i close the program i get a Error in module "Qt5CoreMx64Qt5.15.1.dll".
Will uninstall again and install the old version since it works better even if it loocks up time after time.

Hi

To turn off hardware acceleration in the export dialog Advanced settings there is the option to change the rendering device - set this to Software.

There is also the option to use Explorer however, I suspect this is actually the Microsoft WARP renderer - Video Pro X 13, which I have, has three options for the renderer, the third is called Microsoft WARP - you may want to try this as well as it may be able to use the Nvidia GPU.

. . . . Error in module "Qt5CoreMx64Qt5.15.1.dll" . . . . .

For this error, remove the folder ShopManager_Fotostory_2022_Deluxe found in your Documents folder under MAGIX\Photostory Deluxe\. This will be recreated when you start the program.

Hi,

. . . Error in module "Qt5CoreMx64Qt5.15.1.dll" . . .

This problem is already known to the programmers at Magix Germany.  You will get this error message if there is a checkmark on list view.  If you uncheck it, the annoying error message will stay away.

Good luck, Rob

Found where to deactivate the hardware acceleration now. Has only used the quick way to do it. So now It looks like it works.
Thanks for the help.
