Upgrading to v28 seems to have broken QWERTY input

On my version of v27, C3 mapped to both M and Q which allowed me to use the top row of the keyboard (like in every music software I've used since the 90s). After upgrading, C3 only maps to M, meaning that Q, W, E, and R no longer work.
Is there a configuration somewhere that can allow me to map PC keys to notes?

Hi,

I can confirm that QWER no longer work in the new version, but did in the previous version. I think that this was probably some legacy thing, because the notes were not listed on the keyboard.

I don't know of any way to get them back. You may want to ask Magix.

Hey guys,

I'll run this one past development for their attention. I don't think the change in the keyboard layout for the on-screen MIDI keyboard was fully intentional, as it comes with certain problems. So, chances are this change will be reverted again, but I'll need to hear their explanation first.

Cheers!

Hi,

Just quickly picking your brains on this subject again: If the current problems with the on-screen MIDI keyboard shortcuts (which extend beyond the issue described above) are fixed, and QWER become available again, which of the keys from the overlapping keyboard area ("M<>?" vs. "QWER") would you actually want us to display as shortcuts on the keys? Thanks!

For me personally I'd rather see QWER (or whatever keys the top row of the type of the user's keyboard)
