Hi!
Each time I upgrade my software to the newest version, I find it such a chore I feel I must be doing something wrong.
First of all, I've been using MMM for over 10 years, so I have quite a few versions under my belt, each one registered. I've recently bought a new PC and laptop, and bought and installed MMM17 onto them. I was shocked at the fact that I only had a few soundpools. I've been buying them on DVD, so as long as I find them, I'll be able to install them, but then noticed the lack of instruments as well.
I emailed support, but they weren't really able to help me, but not through lack of trying.
In the end, I went back and installed each and every version before it, and upgraded them (took ages!), then found that both my soundpools and instruments transferred over to the new software. Once satisfied, I went ahead and uninstalled the older programs, then went back to MMM17 and tried to load up one of the instruments (Power Guitar).
An error message appeared:
"Could not find the file MX 014 PC LODW XA1 Y01 Z01.aif in image file Power Guitar/MX014/Power Guitar Content/Long."
They had been working just before the uninstall.
Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Prior to that, I went into my Common folder, and made sure I copied all of the files, just in case this happened, but unfortunately it hasn't solved anything. Do I really need to have each and every past version of each software installed so that I can use the instruments? When I made the purchase, I even read an article on MAGIX website that read that all of my soundpools and instruments carry over between purchases.
Thanks in advance!
