@James-Billington  Hi, what version of Magix did you receive BCC plugins? My BCC plugins are only partly compatible with Magix Movie studio or VPX so i can't imagine them being included in a package, I could well be wrong 🤷‍♂️

I am using vegas pro, but my question is about upgrading to prox, if I upgrade are the plugins available in perputuity or is there a limit of time where they expire?

@James-Billington

Hi

. . . . upgrading to pro x from the last version . . I am using vegas pro, but my question is about upgrading to prox . . .

If I read the above correctly, Video Pro X is not an upgrade for Vegas Pro - these are 2 very different video editors.

Assuming the BCC plugins are for Vegas Pro and were bundled with Vegas Pro you purchased then they are most likely locked, 'Node-locked' in Boris terms, to that program and as @Former user has commented, may partially work with Pro X.

If you purchased the BCC plugins direct from Boris Fx, then you need to ask them about licensing.

@James-Billington  Hi, Vegas & VPX are totally different programs, that is not an upgrade. your plugins may well show in VPX but at a limited capacity.

Ah @johnebaker beat me too it while i had this comment open.

@James-Billington john-brown (@Browj2) who is a firm supporter of VPX honestly described the differences in this comment on the Vegas forum, https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/vegas-movie-studio-as-a-second-video-editing-tool--143032/#ca894251
