upgrade issue

rbofaz wrote on 10/23/2016, 9:24 AM

I have been a user of Vegas Pro since version 7. I have never paid more than $149 for an upgrade. On June 30, 2017 you sent out an email with an offer to purchase both Vegas Pro 13 and 14 for $199.95. Since I already owned Vegas Pro 13, and did not need another copy of the software, I did not reply to that offer. I along with a majority of your customers figured that you would be sending out a better offer when Vegas Pro 14 came out that did not include Vegas Pro 13. That has not happened. While I do understand that prices go up, charging $100 more than Sony ever charged for an upgrade is not a good way to retain customers. Considering that you offered both Vegas Pro 13 and 14 for $199.95 I think it would be far if you offered an upgrade to Vegas Pro 14 for registered owners of Vegas Pro 13 for $175.00.

I have sent this question to customer service multiple times and they have not replied

Hi

The Vegas forums are here.

IIRC, the offer was for Vegas Pro 13 with a free upgrade to 14 once it was released.

Another person who cannot read and/or understand English. I said “On June 30, 2017 you sent out an email with an offer to purchase both Vegas Pro 13 and 14 for $199.95. Since I already owned Vegas Pro 13, and did not need another copy of the software, I did not reply to that offer.”
John EB response: “The Vegas forums are here. IIRC, the offer was for Vegas Pro 13 with a free upgrade to 14 once it was released.” just repeats what I asked. Since there appears a major language barrier with Magix forums let me repost my original issue in the native language of the Magix company:

Hi

. . . . Another person who cannot read and/or understand English. . .

Incorrect - you obviously did not understand that you should follow the link to the Vegas forums which is where the majority of ex SCS software users are.

If you want answers on Vegas products you should be posting in the Vegas forums - the majority of users in this forum are not Vegas users.

. . . . you sent out an email . . . .

Nobody from here sent out an email - this is a users forum provided by Magix for users and moderated by users and Magix editors, it is not sales or support which is where you should be directing your question.

. . . . Since there appears a major language barrier . . . let me repost my original issue in the native language of the Magix company . . . .

This is the English speaking forum, if you wish to quote in another language please ensure that it is grammatically correct, uses the correct verbs and acknowledge that you have used an online translation service if appropriate - especially if you also post in one of the other language forums.  This way members, whose native language you are translating to, understand that their native language is not your first or second language.

I would suggest you read the community rules here - in particular sections 1, 2, 8 and 11.
